Many artists in Europe have been wanting European Digital Distribution, there is now a company working out of Zurich, Switzerland called iMusician Digital AG. This could be helpful for EU artists and should be worth looking into read more
although we stress we don't endorse the company as we know of no artist using them of present. We would be interested to hear from anyone who is/has used their services... iMusician Digital are very similar to the US DD companies, offering competitive deals but in Euros. Also an advantage for European artists is the following: (taken from their site) In Europe, all online shops are required by law to pay "authors' rights" (GEMA, SUISA, MCPS etc). The laws regarding authors' rights in Northern America are completely different to Europe and is continuously evolving. If you are not a member of a "collection society", it will be more difficult to collect your publishing income. http://www.imusiciandigital.com |

Some EU artists may feel drawn to a European DD... others will want to stay with established American companies.
Obviously with all DD companies you only want to use one company as they all deliver to the same online outlets.
What you need to do is choose one that is right for you.
Also it is not compulsory to use a DD company. You can deal directly with iTunes and others yourself, if you know how and have the time.
that will make a test difficult. quit cdbaby to see if they are good?
